As October comes to a close, so does Next in Vogue 2024. Returning bigger and bolder than before, the second edition of Vogue Singapore’s landmark event unfolded in style at the iconic Capitol Theatre and Capitol Kempinski Hotel. Held over a span of two days, it was a celebration of all things fashion, beauty and lifestyle—unveiled through panel conversations, masterclasses, activations, fringe events, and gala to close out the extravaganza.
This year’s key focus? All things innovation. First things first, Next in Vogue Conversations offered a peek into the future with the theme ‘AI and I’. A gathering of the creative industry’s biggest names, the thought-provoking panels revealed the ways in which technology—and more specifically, artificial intelligence—is revolutionising the fashion, beauty and creative landscape. Everything Everywhere All at Once star Stephanie Hsu headlined the event, offering an insightful look into the intersections between fashion and film. But she was far from the only prominent face that graced the occasion. Legendary couturist Gaurav Gupta, renowned photographers Nick Knight and Calum Knight, and award-winning contemporary artist Krista Kim were just some of the other panelists that provided us fresh perspectives into the growing role of technology in today’s creative industries.
To experience these emerging technologies for themselves, guests were welcomed to the Innovation Lounge, where three immersive activations awaited. Meanwhile, the Vogue Glam Room saw a series of masterclasses providing invaluable tips and tricks for beauty enthusiasts, and the Vogue Closet offered an exclusive look at red carpet looks from celebrated Asian designers like Gaurav Gupta, Chet Lo and Cong Tri—some of whom were displaying their creations in Singapore for the first time.
Beyond the three-day affair, an exciting slate of fringe events also took place, from private styling sessions with Urban Revivo to a tequila tasting with Don Julio. Serving as a continuation of all that went down at Next in Vogue, a special edition of Vogue Uncut, Vogue Singapore’s podcast series, was also recorded on-site with some of our illustrious speakers. And if you wanted a recap of the fruitful discussions that took place at Next in Vogue Conversations? Then we’ll urge you to look out for the bite-sized summaries prepared by Thoth.AI, who were there with us throughout it all.
Of course, the event wouldn’t have been complete without a Vogue-worthy party. The grandeur of the Capitol Theatre made for the perfect backdrop for our fourth anniversary gala—followed by an afterparty at HighHouse that ended the night with a bang. Below, we round up the most exciting things you might have missed at Next in Vogue 2024.
